First day of school: record book

I made this template for my 5-year-old daughter who is starting school (Kindergarten) in September. My plan is to slightly update the template every year as she develops and her writing gets better. I’m going to keep all these worksheets in a binder of memories of her school years. I’ll be adding photos, report cards, projects, artwork, essays, etc. to the binder, too.

If you’re a teacher, you can use this with your students in the first few weeks of school and then suggest to parents that they do the same. This is a great way to chronicle a child’s accomplishments and save memories.

It is a nice idea for a parent. Time flies so quickly… I have my daughter’s old drawings and a kind of book! she wrote and illustrated for me in a notebook. These things are worth keeping!
